Ecological section of cultural-artistic association „Days of Linden“ Gornji Mihaljevec has been active since 1993 from whose activities in 2001 evolves Ecological Organization Linden, later renamed in Ecological Organization EOL. Ecological Organization EOL is non-governmental, nonprofit civil association whose action philosophy is based on settings of Agenda 21, document of United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) and Local Agenda 21 (pdf Agenda 21). Since 30 August 2001 EOL is a member of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements IFOAM and its regional organization for Mediterranean; AgriBioMediterraneo. Through the years EOL has directed its activities towards programs and projects connected to rural development (mill, fair…) and nature protection. Vision of eol Međumurje/Croatia – socially just and solidary community of creative people with raised awareness, based on sustainable use of natural resources with preserved traditional and cultural-historical heritage. Mission of eol Preparation and conduction of activities in Međimurje considering nature protection, preservation of traditional and cultural-historical heritage, promotion of sensible use of natural resources on principles of sustainable development.
